Liposuction
Sometimes, no matter how much you exercise and diet, it is impossible to eliminate certain bulges and fat deposits on certain parts of your body. A well-proportioned body may seem like an unreachable goal to you and liposuction may be the answer. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes deposits of excess fat from specific areas of the body, face or neck. Liposuction is most commonly performed to slim and shape the hips, thighs and saddlebag area, flatten the abdomen and shape the waist, or eliminate a double chin. By addressing your specific problem areas, liposuction can help you achieve a smoother and better-proportioned contour and shape. Additional areas that are also treated by liposuction include the upper arms, chest or breast area, back, buttocks, knees and calf areas. Liposuction can be performed on several areas of the body at the same time and/or be done in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery procedures.

Liposuction can permanently alter body proportion and is the only way to eliminate fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. People of almost any age may undergo liposuction; however, patients with good skin elasticity will achieve the smoothest contour after the fat is removed. To find out if you may be a good candidate for liposuction to treat your specific problem areas, please contact our office today.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
Despite the number of sit-ups you do, it may feel like you're fighting a losing battle against the extra skin, fat, or "pouch" that develops over your abdomen. Your abdominal area has most likely been your "problem area" for a long time. This type of problem depends a lot on your genetics, but also may worsen after recent weight loss or after having children. During pregnancy, not only is the skin of the abdomen stretched out, but oftentimes, the muscles of the abdomen become stretched out, too. Abdominoplasty (also called tummy tuck) is best suited for women and men who are in relatively good shape but have loose abdominal skin and/or a significant amount of abdominal fat that won't respond to good nutrition or exercise. The procedure is designed to flatten, firm and smooth the abdomen. The excess skin and fat from the abdomen are removed and the muscles of the abdominal wall are usually tightened. After a tummy tuck, there is a dramatic reduction of the protruding appearance of the abdomen and the skin is smoother and tighter. Liposuction may be performed at the same setting for additional sculpting, if needed. To find out if you are a good candidate for a tummy tuck, please contact our office today.
